How To Clean Cleaning Wire Spoke Wheels

By Brenda Warner

Cleaning these objects in the right way would give you nothing to be ashamed about as you drive around town. They can be like a gold medal around your neck since you are fully aware that you have personally attended to them. So, eventually get the hang of the routine below and treat it as your accomplishment.

Be certain that there is enough pressure coming from your washer. Your wire spoke wheels will never be completely cleaned if you will just wipe them alone. Grime and rust are needed to be eliminated remotely since they can stick to your hands and make you lose your appetite for the whole project.

Use only a mild soap for this task. Mix it with the right amount of water and exert much effort in wiping these objects down. Have a uniform motion for the dirt to run down to the center of the wheel and not find its way back up. This can help you save time and other resources on your part.

After the water solution, wipe these objects down with a wheel cleaner. This is a substance which is made especially for the particles that are still on the metal. It can be the perfect solution for the brake pad as well. With the concentration of this solution, the quality of the metal would stay the same leading the wheel to be solid too.

Find flat shoelaces that you are no longer using. They have to be long and without any trace of wax. Cut them in half and use them to tie up the wheel at both sides so that you would not have to hold it while you are busy with the task with one hand. You need both hands to make sure that no dirt would be left in there.

The laces can also be used to apply the polish. With their small dimensions, every spoke shall be shining and this can prevent people from criticizing the way you clean your own things. Show to them how mature you are and that you can talk about cars during your spare time.

Minimize the amount of polish on the laces but not too much. Also, cover the rubber if you can. The least thing that you need right now is a wheel with marks. These marks can be permanent if you will not wipe them out right away. Therefore, exercise extreme caution and try not to go out of the zone by keeping your eyes and your focus on each spoke.

Give an hour for everything to be completely dry. Only use a blower outside of that time period. This will not have any effect on the substance which has already settled. It will just allow you to eventually put the wheels back where they belong and make a hit for the road.

Wax would be the last which you would be needing for this application. This can make these things look brand new and get the attention of your neighbors. Have new friends just because of that.
