When Should I Replace My Fleet Graphics?

By Paula Hess

Fleet graphics are, without question, some of the best items that can be used to market a variety of brands. Keep in mind that these graphics are physical items, though, meaning that they will start to wear down as time goes on. If you want to know when, exactly, to switch these graphics out for newer ones, there are a couple of key points to focus on. In fact, here are just a few points that you should keep in mind the back of your mind for the future.

One of the initial warning signs, according to authorities such as JMR Graphics, would be color and how it fades. Depending on environmental conditions, you may find that the colors of fleet graphics will fade more quickly than in other locations. Regardless, you have to understand that color leads to vibrancy - an essential component of out-of-home advertising - and the idea of this being lowered is nothing short of a problem. When colors start to fade, consider a change.

Fleet graphics may also be swapped out because of marks and scuffs that simply cannot come off. You must keep in mind that the vehicles the aforementioned graphics are connected to are going to be exposed to various conditions. What this means is that mud splashing on them and dirt being picked up especially by graphics which are heavily white, can occur. Unless these can be easily cleaned off with standard products, replacement must be considered.

You may also want to consider swapping out fleet graphics as soon as you start to see signs of peeling. There are many reasons why this is seen, one of the most prominent being air bubbles which come to the surface during the application process. It's also possible that environmental aspects like pebbles can impact just how well these graphics hold up. To alleviate the risk of these graphics peeling off, especially when vehicles are mobile, change them out whenever possible.

If you follow these points, you will know when it's high time to replace your own graphics. You want to make certain that your marketing endeavors are followed through as effectively as possible, meaning that all of the tools you use must be at the highest levels of quality possible. When certain items start to wear down, they must be replaced. The sooner that this is done, the sooner that expected results will start to be seen once more.
